May I introduce myself?
I am Patrice* Hirschfeld, involved in tobacco since 1966.
My first eleven years were spent growing and processing wrapper tobaccos in Cameroon and Central African Republic. While still assisting the African processors, I began buying tobaccos all around the world, , which gave me the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the tobacco industry.
This includes blending, testing, manufacturing and quality control, inventory managing, raw material allocation to the products, acquisition of premium cigars… and now selling cigars on the Internet.
The articles I have written are just the result of my experience in the tobacco and cigar industry and I am happy to have the opportunity to share it with you.
I may know a great deal about tobacco and cigars, but I do not know everything. If I cannot answer your question, I'll do my best to direct you to the right person or organization in order to help you.
Your satisfaction is my goal!
Welcome to our web site! Have a tour, enjoy it and… Voilà!
*Patrice comes from the Latin Patricius (m), Patricia (f), naming the ancient Roman Aristocrats.
Patricius gave Patricio in Spanish and Patrice in French. The same with Mauricius, Mauricio, Maurice or Horacius, Horacio, Horace…It became Patrick for the Anglo-Saxons.
Patricia is a female given name all over the world. Why Patrice became a female name in the USA? Do not ask me, I have no clue.
